What Is the Trailblazer Study?
The Trailblazer clinical research study sees if investigational drugs can successfully lower the risk of cognitive decline in adults at risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Participants must have intact cognitive function and exhibit typical memory, thinking, and mood behavioral patterns. Qualified patients will be randomly assigned to one of two groups, receiving either the investigational medication or a placebo. The duration of this study could be up to 4 1/2 years, depending on each participant. Researchers will monitor participants’ immunological responses, blood levels, safety and effectiveness of the medication, and patients’ cognitive functions.

Our Approach to Trailblazer Alzheimer’s Study
Alzheimer’s Disease may appear in your brain before you ever notice any problems in your memory or mental health. The investigational drug may be administered later to placebo recipients. A clinical research study may done to prequalify those who are at risk.
- Participants who wish to participate in the study must:
- Be between the ages of 65 and 80
- Possess regular patterns of memory, thinking, mood, and behavior
- Have a trustworthy study partner who is familiar with them and is willing to accompany them to appointments during the study
- Satisfy extra academic requirements
If you are eligible, involvement may last up to 4.5 years, though this may depend on each individual. Depending on the goal of the visit, all research appointments will either be conducted in person or virtually through video call.
