Dr. Eric Folkens, MD, is a highly qualified family medicine doctor and Pharmaceutical Medical Researcher based in Bradenton, Florida. He has over 22 years of experience in the medical field and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida. Throughout his career, Dr. Folkens has held positions in group practices and worked as a contract physician for several local urgent care centers. He is the founder of Bradenton, Sarasota, and Lakewood Ranch Urgent Care locations and has also practiced in Pinellas Park and Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Folkens obtained his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in 2002. He then did his residency in family medicine at Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital in Texas, where he was the Chief Resident. He is a member of the Society for Clinical Research Sites, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Manatee County Medical Society. In addition, he is an American Board of Family Medicine Certified Diplomate.
